I wanted to develop a cohesive set of arts and crafts drop caps and decided to apply them to wine bottle labels as I thought it could be a very interesting application. You can also see the original letters below. I was very much inspired by William Morris drop caps he used for his “The Earthly Paradise” and “The Life and Death of Jason” poems but wanted to add a more modern spin to it.
